Quolum - Best Product Award

Quolum just won an incredibly prestigious award! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that Quolum has been named among the best products in the 2023 Product Awards.  For those unfamiliar, Products that Count community is one of the largest, and most elite product communities in the world, and the awards are in partnership with Mighty Capital and Capgemini.

About the Award

The awards honors products that help startups engage customers for sustained growth. The nominees were chosen by Products That Count’s product manager network, and winners are chosen by an independent Awards Advisory Board composed of top product leaders. This year’s Board included product leaders from companies like Intuit, Oscar Health, and Macy’s.

“The bar for what makes a great product gets higher every year,” said SC Moatti, founding CEO of Products That Count. “Quolum is a testament to that. We expect them to keep defining what it means to be at the cutting edge of the product, not only in 2023 but also in the years to come.”

Why this Matters to Quolum

Quolum started as a product in 2019. That said, sales only began in 2022. Seems odd right? But here’s the answer.

What customers see as a great product, is actually a reflection of:

  • 100s of discovery interviews
  • 1000s of whiteboarding sessions
  • Over 100k lines of code
  • Immeasurable missed family dinners

Winning this award is just a testament to how Quolum has truly redefined the way customers think about buying software.

Increasing Runway by Managing SaaS Effectively

In 2021, a recent study revealed that companies typically use an average of 110 SaaS solutions, a 38% increase over the past year and a 1,275% increase since 2015.

In the past few years alone, companies prioritized new SaaS tools that helped keep their businesses running through the pandemic. This led to excessive investments in tools and technology that created a SaaS sprawl across organizations. For example, multiple teams within an organization could have independently purchased the same tool which led to extra costs.

Right from when the company was conceived, we recognized the opportunity for immense savings. The opportunity for savings is significant, given the average company wastes around $135,000 a year on SaaS tools they do not require or use.

We are grateful for this award. It propels us as we further our mission to give finance a better set of tools, not just to put a dollar amount on the subscription costs, but also the utilization, as in who’s using it, how much are they using it and is it effective?
