Six weeks ago, I wrote about one of Quolum’s core beliefs: we will get out of the current crisis with a renewed focus on value and balancing growth with cost conservation.
Since then, we’ve started a broader dialog on this topic with the SaaS community and industry observers (such as with Ron Miller at TechCrunch) on how Quolum can help companies find new ways to control costs to survive and grow in this new environment. We also wrote about our philosophy of responsible software spending and how it can reimagine SaaS in the 2020s.
I’m delighted to share that we’re also doing our first virtual event, Quolum Live, bringing together 7 different perspectives from venture investors, CFOs, CTOs, and CMOs, and SaaS experts to unpack further how all companies can drive growth through responsible software spending.
At the start of 2020 while many things remain uncertain, one thing is certain: SaaS is more mission-critical than ever before for business continuity and scaling productivity and growth.

Here’s a teaser for three of our sessions.
In our session “How to Adapt and Thrive in 2020s Black Swans“, Rajan Anandan of Sequoia India and Abhishek Sharma of Nexus Venture Partners will share a Silicon Valley and Asia perspective on the pandemic and SaaS investments, new digital workflow opportunities driving SaaS growth, and how both sellers and buyers can navigating this uncertain time.
In our session “How to Drive Responsible Spending: A CFO Lens”, Wailun Chan, CFO of Plastiq and former VP Finance, LinkedIn, will share perspectives on the CFO role in the 2020s, how modern CFOs are leveraging SaaS to drive company growth while focusing on unit economics, and the journey from visibility and predictability to sensemaking, with SaaS.
In our session “How AI, Mobility, and conversational bots will drive SaaS growth”, Sriram Ramanathan, CTO at Genpact and former Group VP, Oracle Cloud will share insights into how Artificial Intelligence, No-Code platforms, voice bots and assistants, and other innovations are driving cloud and SaaS growth and will drive new investments and use cases for SaaS.
All 7 sessions go live on June 23rd.
